In his pursuit of literature, he was oppressed by feudal society, lost his best friend, and broke up with his girlfriend, before leaving for Tokyo in loneliness. Set in the scenic city of Yanagawa, this work depicts Hakushu's wanderings in search of beauty and devotion to poetry.
