Schlaflos in Istanbul

Can people from two different cultures be happy? "Yes! Yes! Yes!", believe Didem and Jakob and shortly afterwards they are no longer a couple: the lively fashion designer is unexpectedly pregnant, the somewhat stiff musician is broke with his record label. From Jakob's point of view, starting a family is out of the question for the time being. And so they have a falling out before they have even exchanged their news. Didem, whose fashion has just reached the final round of the Fashion Awards, urgently needs fabrics for her new collection. She jets off to her parents in Turkey. Here Baba Ekrem immediately pulls all the strings so that his "lemon blossom" forgets the "godless potato" from Berlin...
