The Beauty Parlor

Divorced Maria and married Ofelia work as ladies' masters in a Moscow hairdressing salon. Ofelia often complains to her friend about her philandering husband. Maria has no one to complain about - she lives alone and is not bored. To reconcile Ophelia and her husband, Maria often visits Ivan at the zoo, where he works as a zookeeper, and gradually becomes attached to him. The sedate and positive Maria has much more in common with Ivan than the capricious and flighty Ophelia.
